Economy Minister: Namakhvani HPP project should be implemented "rightly"

Georgian Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili believes the Namakhvani HPP project should be implemented “rightly.”

The Minister stressed the importance of communication with the population on this topic, saying actions are much needed.

“As for state participation, yes, we think energy projects, due to their specificity, require more state involvement, and so it will be,” Davitashvili said.

ENKA Renewables, which should have built a Namakhvani HPP project, terminated the contract with the Georgian government in September 2021.
