The First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili, stated that a contract with a private partner for the Anaklia Deep Sea Port project might be inked in the spring of this year.
As Davitashvili stated at a briefing at the government administration, “talks in this direction are now ongoing.”
“We anticipate finalizing the contract by spring, or summer at the latest. While I had expected a more accelerated negotiation timeline, we recognize that the involvement of several major global companies necessitates strict confidentiality to ensure optimal efficiency throughout this process,” stated Levan Davitashvili.
