EC Spokesperson: GD going into repressive measures that are inspired by Russian propaganda machine; We are working on sanctions
“We are condemning any form of violence,” said Anitta Hipper. Spokesperson of the European Commission for Foreign Affairs and Security.
According to Anitta Hipper, the European Commisson is working to support the civil society in Georgia.
“The Georgian Dream is going into repressive measures that are very clearly inspired by the Russian propaganda machine. We are condemning throughout any form of violence. And of course, what is happening there does not go unnoticed. This is why we are working on sanctions. We are working into ensuring that there is no money flowing towards the Georgian authorities and we are working to support the civil society, the journalists and all those who are peacefully working towards a better future and are not giving up on the hopes and the values that Europe embodies,” she said.
