Diplomatic missions present Georgia's investment opportunities in China, Switzerland, and Turkiye

Heads of Georgian diplomatic and consular missions in China, Switzerland, and Turkiye have highlighted the country’s vibrant investment landscape and fostering international partnerships.

During a working visit to Pinzhou, Shandong Province, Georgian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Paata Kalandadze participated in a prominent business and academic forum titled “From the South Caucasus to China: Historical Heritage and the Integration of Modern Economy and Culture,” the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.

At the forum, Ambassador Kalandadze addressed the audience, emphasising the strategic importance of the South Caucasus region, Georgia’s rich historical legacy, and its unique cultural identity. He underscored Georgia’s advantageous geographical position and expanding role in regional and global economic processes. The ambassador highlighted the rapid development of Georgia-China relations and stressed the significance of deepening bilateral cooperation across investment, trade, tourism, and cultural-humanitarian sectors. Particular attention was given to regional and municipal initiatives aimed at strengthening multilateral partnerships between Georgia and China.

A key feature of the event was a presentation showcasing Georgia’s investment climate and tourism potential. The forum drew participation from academic figures, local authorities, and approximately 30,000 viewers through a live broadcast, reflecting broad interest and engagement.

In parallel efforts to promote Georgia’s economic prospects, Ambassador Shota Getsadze, the Georgian ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, met with members and partners of the Swiss Joint Chamber of Commerce. The discussion highlighted Georgia’s favourable tax, economic, and financial systems, coupled with robust economic indicators, which make the country an attractive destination for international business.

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Swiss Joint Chamber of Commerce, over ten representatives from Swiss Global Enterprise, and Swiss business leaders, all emphasising the growing appeal of the Georgian market.

Additionally, Georgian Consul General in Istanbul, Alexander Jishkariani, met with Abdullah Değer, President of the Executive Committee of the Istanbul Economic Summit. They discussed Georgia’s participation in the summit, a prominent international platform where political and business leaders explore global and regional economic trends, innovation, and sustainable development. The conversation highlighted the active economic ties between Georgia and Turkiye and explored avenues for deepening cooperation.
