Deputy Economy Minister: Kutaisi-Venice flights to help deepen Georgia-Italy relations
“The launch of Kutaisi-Venice flights is a step forward both in the development of tourism and deepening Georgia-Italy economic relations,” said Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.
According to Nadareishvili, direct connectivity is one of the top priorities of the Ministry’s tourism development policy.
“We speak about negotiations with companies already operating on the Georgian aviation market for them to increase frequencies with different cities, and bring new companies. We have recently finalised negotiations with Wizz Air, which has operated in Georgia since 2012 and is considered the leading air company in our aviation market,” he said.
