Deputy Economy Minister highlights export growth in April: over 41% increase and $617 million in volume
“An impressive surge in exports was recorded in April, with the export rate rising by more than 41 per cent, reaching a total volume of $617 million. Additionally, both export and foreign trade turnover indicators for the January-April period have set new records. These achievements underscore the high activity of Georgia’s business sector, which is reflected in robust economic growth,” stated Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vakhtang Tsintsadze.
Referring to data from the National Statistics Service of Georgia (GeoStat), Tsintsadze also noted that revenues from tourism and other services are experiencing significant growth.
“Our outlook for 2025 remains optimistic. The Georgian government is actively supporting private sector development through various state programs aimed at enhancing competitiveness. Simultaneously, we are maintaining high levels of capital expenditure in proportion to GDP, which contributes to infrastructure development and encourages investment. We believe that 2025 will outperform predictions made by international financial institutions,” the Deputy Minister emphasised.
