Delta has developed over ten modifications of Didgori armoured vehicle recently
The LEPL State Military Scientific and Technical Center Delta has traditionally played an active role in events dedicated to Georgia’s Independence Day.
Over the past few years, the company has created more than ten upgraded models of the Didgori armoured vehicle.
“I can confidently say that each model is entirely different in terms of technical specifications; each was developed to meet specific requirements and orders,” stated Davit Akhvlediani, General Director of Delta.
Together with his team, he presented the Didgori Warrior to the public during this year’s national holiday—a new model of the modern Didgori family with a distinctive design—and discussed plans and the importance of modernisation in production.
According to Akhvlediani, the Didgori Warrior is distinguished by its advanced technical features and significantly enhanced reliability.
“The vehicle is equipped with various types of state-of-the-art tyre inflation and fire suppression systems, and it boasts an improved fuel and ammunition system. The crew’s accommodation has also been upgraded,” explained Davit Akhvlediani.
The General Director of Delta also spoke to the media about other models, clarifying that all of them are produced upon request by the Georgian army based on existing needs. This work involves a collaborative effort by a team of specialists from the Ministry of Defence and the Defence Forces.
Akhvlediani further highlighted the export potential of Georgia’s national military industry, noting that the Didgori Warrior—designed in 2024 and developed just a few months ago—is intended as an export model.
He emphasised that showcasing the achievements of the national military industry during the Independence Day celebrations is highly significant for the Delta team.
