Defence Minister to attend Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Georgia trilateral defence ministerial in Ankara

Georgian Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Irakli Chikovani has departed for the Republic of Türkiye.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Defence, this year’s Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Georgia Trilateral Defence Ministerial will be hosted by Ankara, the capital of Türkiye.

“The defence ministers of the three nations will discuss strategic partnership issues and explore plans for further cooperation within a trilateral framework.

The Georgian Defence Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with his Turkish and Azerbaijani counterparts, Yaşar Güler and Colonel General Zakir Hasanov.

Following the trilateral meeting, the ministers will sign a joint declaration and deliver statements.

The trilateral defence ministerial is held annually on a rotational basis among Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Georgia. Azerbaijan will host the next round of meetings next year,” the Ministry of Defence stated.
