Defence Minister meets with UK Minister of State for the Armed Forces

Mark Lancaster, UK Minister of State for the Armed Forces is paying an official visit to Georgia. Mark Lancaster was hosted by Georgia’s Defence Minister Levan Izoria.

The Ministry of Defence informs that at the official meeting, the sides discussed the importance of bilateral relations and cooperation in the defense field.

Levan Izoria underlined that the contribution of Great Britain to the implementation of measures provided by the NATO-Georgia essential package (SNGP) is important.

In this regard, the issues of cooperation in strategic communication and cyber security, as well as the functioning of NATO-Georgia Training and Assessment Joint Center.

Defense Minister Levan Izoria thanked the British side for supporting Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
