Defence Minister: Gia Baramidze’s statement is a pure lie and folly; it is treasonous

“What Gia Baramidze said is, on the one hand, pure lie; on the other, sheer folly; and thirdly, it was a treasonous statement,” Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Georgia Irakli Chikovani told journalists in Shindisi.

He added that he fully understands the veterans’ stance.

“I understand our veterans and their stance very well. This is deeply insulting to them. The Georgian Army, the Georgian soldier, and Georgia have never executed a single prisoner of war,” declared Irakli Chikovani.
