Davit Usupashvili - No-rules fighting for power is underway

Presidential candidate Davit Usupashvili claims that there is no pre-election campaign in Georgia and no-rules fighting for power is underway. “We do not yet know who will be the winner of this fight, but we can see how Georgia is losing,” Usupashvili said while commenting about recent developments around secret audio recordings.

“Therefore, I address Georgia’s current ruler, Bidzina Ivanishvili: To declare a complex plan of giving up the monopoly of the “Georgian Dream” on the power, which should complete in October 2019, through a proportional system of early parliamentary elections, in order to bring the country out of a large-scale crisis and secure the perspective of democratic development,” Davit Usupashvili said.

According to the presidential candidate in case of giving up the monopoly, the “Georgian Dream” will have the chance to stay in politics and the country will move forward, otherwise, the “Georgian Dream” “will completely be smashed to pieces in this process and leave the country in the bog of destabilization.”
