Czech Republic will provide financial assistance to six countries affected by COVID-19, including Georgia
In relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic will provide assistance in the amount of 200 million CZK (7.3 mil. EURO) to COVID affected countries including Georgia, Moldova, Bosnia, Cambodia, Ethiopia, and Zambia.
The money will be spent on healthcare and living conditions improvement projects. The assistance will focus on medical and hygiene-related measures.
The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs says they expect the involvement of Czech companies in this project. In this way, countries that need some supplies will be able to buy products from the Czech Republic, which will also help Czech companies during the economic crisis caused by the pandemic.
