Court fines Mtavari Arkhi journalist Beka Korshia 2,200 GEL

The court fined Mtavari Arkhi journalist Beka Korshia 2,200 GEL after he was arrested on administrative charges during the Rustaveli Avenue protest.

Korshia said he had no hope of a fair trial. “I did not commit an administrative offence.”

In his words, law enforcement officers knew his identification from the moment he was apprehended. He stated that the police used physical assault against him.

The prosecution accused him of failing to comply with a police officer’s lawful demand.
