Court decides to uphold UNM’s Levan Khabeishvili’s pre-trial detention

The trial of Levan Khabeishvili, Chairman of the Political Council of the United National Movement, took place at the Tbilisi City Court.

During the session, the court considered whether to alter Khabeishvili’s preventive measure. Ultimately, the judge decided that he would remain in detention.

The investigation period in the case has been extended until December 9, necessitating a review of the existing preventive measures imposed on Khabeishvili.

On September 11, the State Security Service arrested Levan Khabeishvili on charges of publicly promising bribes to officials.
