Coronavirus-related restrictions resumed on Sunday

All coronavirus-related restrictions, imposed by the Georgian Government from November 28, 2020, through December 24, 2020, and suspended for New Year Eve, resumed on Sunday.

The Inter-Agency Coordination Council decided that the retail shops would work through delivery service only starting from Sunday. Restrictions do not apply to groceries, pet food stores, pharmacies, veterinary drug stores, household chemicals, hygiene stores, and press booths.

Outdoor and indoor fairs and markets remain closed.

Holidays/off-duty are announced throughout the country on January 3-15, 2021. No public and private institutions, except for banks and facilities/services of strategic importance, would operate during this period.

The restriction on movement across the country on foot and motor vehicles from 9 pm till 5 am remain effective. This restriction has been lifted only for New Year and Christmas Eve.
