Coordinating Council will make decision on Tbilisi and Rustavi reopen by the end of the week
The sitting of the Interagency Coordinating Council chaired by the Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has been held in the format of a video conference.
At the meeting of the Interagency Coordinating Council, the issues of further mitigation of measures and those areas in which their implementation may be carried out earlier than planned, taking into account the epidemiological situation, were discussed. The issue of Tbilisi and Rustavi reopen was considered as well; relevant decisions will be made in those cities by the end of the week.
The Prime Minister noted that the issue of economic recovery is becoming more and more urgent and its solution should not be delayed. At the same time, Giorgi Gakharia reiterated that the process of opening the economy will continue and will be effective only if each citizen, each company takes responsibility to prevent the deterioration of the epidemiological situation so that the government does not have to re-introduce restrictions again.
