Constitutional Court confirms party ban hearings will be broadcast live

Given the high level of public interest, the Constitutional Court of Georgia has approved a request from Georgian Public Broadcaster to film the substantive hearings on Constitutional Claim No. 1979, broadcast them live and provide the signal to other media outlets. The hearings will take place on 21, 22 and 23 October.

The Court further affirmed that the hearings will also be live-streamed on the Constitutional Court’s YouTube channel.

“Public interest will be met as fully as possible, and information on the proceedings will be available to all those interested,” the Constitutional Court said in its statement.
