Citizens gather at Sioni Cathedral to honour the memory of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II.

Today, March 25, marks the ninth day since the passing of Ilia II.

At Sioni Cathedral, the the Locum Tenens of the Patriarchal Throne, Metropolitan Shio (Mujiri) of Senaki and Chkhorotsku, along with other hierarchs and clergy, will conduct a funeral and memorial service, commencing at 2:00 p.m.

Ilia II, the 141st Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, died on March 17 at the age of 93. He was laid to rest on March 22 at Sioni Cathedral.
