The statue of Christ in Rio de Janeiro has “worn” a mask in honour of the healthcare workers battling coronavirus.

The mask was projected onto the face of the statue to raise awareness of the importance of face masks during the coronavirus epidemic.

The message –  “Mascara Salva” (Mask protects life) was projected on the statue as well.
