The voter turnout for 17:00 stood at 33.5%, with 1, 175, 817 people having cast their ballots, Spokesperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Natia Ioseliani announced at the briefing.
According to Ioseliani, voters use electronic technologies well and are making their choices smoothly.
Today, on October 4, local self-government elections are being held in Georgia. The voting process began at 08:00 and will conclude at 20:00.
Across the country, a total of 3,061 polling stations are in operation. Of these, voting will be conducted electronically at 2,284 stations and by traditional methods at 777 stations. Twelve political parties are registered for the October 4 elections.
According to CEC Chair Giorgi Kalandarishvili, preliminary results will be available within 2 hours after completion of the voting process.
