The Central Election Commission (CEC) has completed compiling the unified voter register.

Today, at a briefing held at the Central Election Commission, spokesperson Natia Ioseliani explained that the formation of the unified voter list is based on information supplied by various government agencies.

“We extend our gratitude to all administrative bodies for their close cooperation and coordination throughout this process. We also thank the voters for their active participation and for verifying their data, thereby contributing to the improvement of the lists.

The total number of voters registered for the October 4 municipal elections is 3,513,818. Among them, 3,130,348 will participate using electronic voting technologies. This year, up to 47,000 young people will have the opportunity to vote for the first time. Additionally, 60,754 voters have submitted requests for portable voting boxes. A total of 3,061 polling stations have been established nationwide, with 2,284 equipped for electronic voting and 777 conducting traditional voting. Among these are ten special polling stations established in exceptional circumstances, including one located within a penitentiary institution.

Since the election announcement, voters have checked their details in the Unified Voter List on the CEC website and mobile app 600,784 times, and 9,524 times through quick payment terminals, between August 25 and September 16.

Once the lists were received from all relevant agencies, the data were processed and organised according to electoral districts and polling stations. The updated unified voter list is now publicly accessible via the official CEC website.

It is also important to note that the version of the voter list intended for public information is available to registered political parties and observer organisations as stipulated by electoral legislation. Voters also have the opportunity to review the public version of the list directly at polling stations.

Throughout the election period, the election administration reports that five political parties requested access to the unified voter list at different times, confirming that the list’s availability for verification was in accordance with both legislation and international standards,” stated Natia Ioseliani.
