Members of the Central Election Commission (CEC) signed the Code of Ethics for the October 4 municipal elections.
The signatories agree that they will fulfil their functions professionally, abiding to respect for law, political neutrality, independence, impartiality, and transparency.
“The high ethical standard of upholding the principle of political neutrality enshrined in the Code will promote and ensure further growth and strengthening of public trust in the election administration and the election process,” the CEC said.
Members of election constituencies and precincts will also sign the Code of Ethics.
