The Georgian Central Election Commission (CEC) hosted international election observer organizations registered for the October 4, 2025, municipal elections.
CEC Chair Giorgi Kalandarishvili and Deputy Chair Giorgi Sharabidze provided international election observers with detailed information on ongoing election processes. They noted that the election administration is ready to administer the elections on a high level in compliance with international standards.
The CEC briefed election observers on the recent amendments to legislation, voting procedures, electronic technologies, and the extensive information campaign. They also provided details about the registered parties participating in the elections and the local election observer organisations.
The representatives of the election administration noted that the Central Election Commission upholds the principle of transparency and welcomes election monitoring by impartial observation missions.
Representatives of the Association ALTERFACT, the Fundamental Rights Center, and the Hungarian Embassy in Georgia attended the meeting.
