Caucasus Medical Centre: Patriarch's condition remains serious concern
“The patient’s condition continues to be grave. A medical council has convened, bringing together the country’s leading intensive care specialists, virtually all of whom are in agreement that every treatment measure currently being carried out is appropriate,” said Sopho Aspanidze, Director of the Caucasus Medical Centre.
According to Aspanidze, the intensive care specialists are closely monitoring the situation and working in concert.
“The patient is having tests carried out on an hourly basis. Patients in the critical care department are generally monitored far more intensively. His readings remain of considerable concern. Haemodynamic indicators are holding at the same level as before. As regards bringing in additional physicians, that decision would most likely rest with the Ministry; we, for our part, are open to every form of collaboration, absolutely every form of cooperation,” said Aspanidze.
