Businesspersons may finance disinfection works at churches

Head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health Amiran Gamkrelidze said that businesspersons might finance carrying out of disinfection works at churches upon the request of the Patriarchate to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Gamkrelidze said that the Patriarchate of Georgia requested the center to disinfect the churches across the country and expressed hope that private companies would help the center in carrying out the disinfection works.

“It is good that solidarity has emerged in the country and many businessmen have expressed their desire to help. We also asked the companies, which register the disinfectants to help the church, do charity and provide these substances to the church,” Amiran Gamkrelidze said.
