According to authorities, investigations revealed that B.T. had concealed himself within a truck, while G.I. circumvented the border checkpoint, both illegally crossing the Georgian border from Türkiye. It has also been established that both individuals are subject to international arrest warrants issued by Turkish law enforcement under a red notice.

“The investigation is ongoing under Article 344, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, and extradition procedures as prescribed by law are being followed against the detainees,” the Georgian Border Police stated.
