According to the data of Bloomberg, the Georgian national currency Lari depreciates on the background of devaluation of Turkish Lira and Russian Ruble.
Based on the web-page of TBC Bank, 1 USD can be bought at 2.58 GEL, while at Bank of Georgia – at 2.57 GEL.
The official exchange rate set by National Bank of Georgia (NBG) has also been changed. The exchange rate on August 1 was 1USD =2.4484 GEL, while on August 9 – 1USD =2.4687 GEL.
Fluctuation of the Georgian national currency is influenced by devaluation of Turkish Lira and Russian Ruble, Bloomberg says.
