The campaign of a new broadcasting season on the First Channel of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) consists of several parts. The hot sports summer began with the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023. From September, First Channel will transmit the Rugby World Cup, the 2023 World Weightlifting Championships and selection matches for the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship.

The platforms of First Channel provide the place where the society unites in support of Georgian athletes, and the slogan of the new campaign conveys this spirit: “It does not matter who you support, what matters is which channel you watch.”

The campaign will continue with the launch of a new platform in September. First Channel will start the new season by turning on the first Georgian free BVOD (Broadcaster video on demand) platform, 1TVplay, through which it will offer viewers live streams of key sports events and the best quality Georgian products.

“First Channel aims to make interesting, diverse and significant products through available platforms to all segments of the society. The first Georgian free BVOD (Broadcaster video on demand) platform, 1TVplay, is part of our digital distribution strategy, which we jointly worked on with experts of the European Broadcasting Union,” said Tinatin Berdzenishvili, GPB Director General.

The first Georgian free BVOD (Broadcaster video on demand) platform, 1TVplay, will ensure the involvement of the audience from all devices (Smartphone, Pad, Desktop, Screen).
