Bidzina Ivanishvili: It is unacceptable that representative of occupant state chairs any kind of forum in the Georgian parliament

I fully share the heartfelt indignation of our fellow citizens in connection with the developments in the Parliament of Georgia, – reads the statement of the chairman of Georgian Dream Bidzina Ivanishvili in his statement, which was published on Facebook by the Press Office of Georgian Dream.

“It is unacceptable that the representative of the occupant state chairs any kind of forum in the Georgian parliament. I was informed that it was a protocol error, the political significance of which, unfortunately, was not taken into account by the organizers, and it should be followed by an appropriate response. I have already spoken to the Speaker of the Parliament, expressed my tough position, and of course, my recommendation was to suspend this session immediately” – Bidzina Ivanishvili stated.

The 26th General Session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Orthodox Church is underway in Tbilisi. The session has continued in the plenary sessions of the Georgian Parliament today.  President of the Assembly, Russian Duma deputy, member of the Communist Party, Sergey Gavrilov, who headed the session, addressed the delegates from the Speaker’s rostrum.
