BBC facing losing significant amounts of its government-sourced income
The BBC is facing losing significant amounts of its government-sourced income. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he could scrap the license fee that supports the BBC.
As local media reports, the BBC could possibly lose between 5% to 75% of its total revenue.
In order to remove funding from the BBC, Boris Johnson must pass legislation through the House of Commons.
The BBC founded in 1922, maintains independent control of its broadcasting and must remain politically neutral.
