BBC releases film on call-centres case

The BBC published a film about the call-centers case where Georgia’s ex-defense minister Davit Kezerashvili stands behind a global scamming network.

The film tells about the swindling scam in detail. In the documentary, Davit Kezerashvili is named the founder of call centres in Georgia and is referred to as “Mr. Offshore.”

The journalist based the story on the list of victims and audio footage. It also shows the shots of the call-centre raid in the Georgian capital Tbilisi.

The BBC also interviewed several victims and the call center’s former employee, who chose to speak with the BBC anonymously.

On April 12, the BBC Eye published a journalistic investigation and identified that former Defense Minister of Georgia Davit Kezerashvili organized a shadowy network of business people, standing behind a global scamming network of robbing European pensioners of more than a billion dollars.
