Badra Gunba secures 54.73% of votes in occupied Abkhazia’s so-called runoff elections
Badra Gunba secured 54.73% of the votes in the second round of the so-called presidential elections according to the data of the so-called Central Election Commission of occupied Abkhazia.
Gunba was the so-called vice-president under Aslan Bzhania and, upon Bzhania’s resignation, acted as the so-called president. Gunba’s rival, Adgur Ardzinba, received 41.54% of the vote.
Dmitry Marchani, chairman of the separatist regime’s so-called Central Election Commission, said there were breaches during the voting process that were not reflected in the results. The local media reported an armed attack on one of the voting locations, which injured two individuals.
