You have created a very favourable investment climate in the country. Many foreign investors, including Azerbaijan, will find excellent conditions in which to contribute further to economic growth and political stability. You are the guarantor that the policies of the Georgian government will continue to develop for the benefit of the country’s people,” said Aliyev.

He also expressed his satisfaction that relations between the two countries will continue to develop consistently and dynamically.

“In every international organisation, we support one another’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and inviolability of borders. This has always been the case and shall remain so in the future. We have achieved a great deal in the economic sphere. Before my visit, I reviewed Georgia’s statistical data. Billions of dollars are being invested in the country, and the growth is impressive. The figures for the first quarter give us every reason for optimism. By the end of the year, we shall surpass several billion. The favourable investment climate enables this to happen and provides the business environment with the means to further expand investment. Azerbaijan has already invested 3.6 billion dollars in Georgia,” declared Ilham Aliyev.
