Awarding ceremony held on occasion of Diplomat’s Day

A solemn awarding ceremony of the Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani Diplomatic Award was held on the occasion of Diplomat’s Day.

Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili awarded Levan Mikeladze, a well-known Georgian diplomat, a researcher of the Diplomatic Training and Scientific Institute, Merab Antadze, for his merit and prolific activities in process of reconciliation and peaceful resolution of conflicts.

The award also went to Mikheil Ukleba, an experienced diplomat for his efforts and contribution to Georgia’s European Union integration aspirations.

Diplomat’s Day has been held annually since 2004. Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani Diplomatic Award was set in 2020.
