Austrian FM: Georgia's success is also a success for the EU

“Georgia’s success is also a success for the European Union,” Austrian Minister for European and International Affairs Alexander Schallenberg tweeted after meeting with Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani. As Schallenberg noted, the EU is committed to close partnership with Georgia.

Three Foreign Ministers of the EU member states – Austria, Romania and Lithuania – arrived in Georgia on the mandate of the High Representative of the European Commission for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borrell as part of their tour in the South Caucasus.

The decision on the visit of the Foreign Ministers of Austria, Romania and Lithuania to the South Caucasus was made at an informal ministerial of EU member states on May 27.
