“I would like to thank Georgia, headed by my good friend Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili,” acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated following the announcement of snap parliamentary elections early results.

Pashinyan addressed his supporters at the headquarters of the Civil Contract party. He thanked voters and international partners, including Georgia, for supporting Armenia.

“I would like to thank Georgia, headed by my good friend Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. I am confident that we will further deepen and enhance our relationship with Georgia. I would also like to wish peace to our region. Stability and peace are our essential agenda. Our top priority is to create an era of peace and development for our nations”, Nikol Pashinyan stated.

According to snap parliamentary elections early results, three political forces – Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party, the former President Robert Kocharyan’s bloc and a bloc affiliated with another former president Serzh Sargsyan, are likely to take up seats in the Armenian parliament.

PM Pashinyan called snap parliamentary elections following protests over Armenia’s defeat in a war with Azerbaijan last year.
