Archil Talakvadze - Starting the Hepatitis C program was a historic decision, made by Bidzina Ivanishvili
Until 2014, Hepatitis C was the diagnose of a slow death and desperation – the treatment is now available for everyone and the cure rate is above 98%, – Leader of the parliamentary majority Archil Talakvadze said during his speech at the opening a new campaign “STOP C” on the World Hepatitis Day.
“Starting the Hepatitis C program was a historic decision, made by [then] Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili. The program has brought many people back to life and health, including in the Abkhazian region,” MP Talakvadze said.
World Hepatitis Day, observed on July 28 every year, aims to raise global awareness of hepatitis. Georgia marked the day with launch of the new campaign STOP C.
