APF adopts declaration in support of Georgia

The 35th regional meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie (APF) in Athens, Greece, adopted a declaration in support of Georgia.

The declaration restates its support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty and urges the Russian Federation to halt its violation of the fundamental rights of residents in the occupied regions.

The declaration pertains to human rights, peace, stability, and security in the region.

Georgia has enjoyed the status of an associate member from the observer status of APF since July 2023, following the unanimous decision within the framework of the 48th session held in Tbilisi.

Maka Botchorishvili, the Georgian parliamentary European Integration Committee chair, Davit Songhulashvili, the Branch Economy and Economic Policy Committee chair, and MP Anton Obolashvili participated in the APF’s 35th regional meeting in Athens.
