Anti-transparency bill protester apprehended for verbally insulting police

Police have arrested one person at the Paragraph Hotel, where the anti-transparency bill rally is taking place.

Vazha Siradze, Head of the Interior Ministry’s Patrol Police Department, said the detainee verbally insulted the police.

The rally is organised by the Sirtskhvilia [Eng: Shame] movement at the Paragraph Hotel which is hosting the 57th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

As protesters say, the rally aims to “inform the ADB meeting participants of Transparency Law and protest against it.”
