Angela Merkel – I support Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity

Ten years ago, I demanded the withdrawal of Russian troops and 10 years later I still support Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity – German Chancellor Angela Merkel stated at the press conference after the meeting with Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze at the administration of the Government of Georgia.

I am glad that I am in Georgia today.

I was here 10 years ago when the ceasefire agreement was signed.

I clearly demanded the withdrawal of Russian troops and 10 years later I still support the territorial integrity of Georgia – Merkel said.
