Andrii Yermak: I condole with Georgian brothers. I thank all warriors fighting with us
Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, on Sunday said, “I condole with the Georgian brothers. I thank all the warriors fighting with us. We must definitely win.”
In his bilingual Telegram post, published both in Georgian and Ukrainian languages, Yermak said that the Georgian fighters “fought for peace and freedom. Freedom unites the best people in the fight against autocratic evil!”
On 3 December, five more Georgian fighters Avto Rurua, Romeo Kvaratskhelia, Romeo Pichkhaia, Merab Aladashvili, and Badri Markelia, who fought as volunteers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, were killed near Bakhmut. The Georgian Embassy to Ukraine says their bodies cannot be removed from Bakhmut due to intense fighting.
Since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February, more than 33 Georgian volunteers have been killed in the battle.
