Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of the National Center for Diseases Control and Public Health, said that the arrival flow from Iran and China to Georgia has almost ceased and the highest inflow remains from Italy currently, most travelers are Georgian citizens.

According to him, 119 people are quarantined currently. 25 people are placed in isolated blocks of Hospital, three of them with coronavirus and the rest are under monitoring.

Amiran Gamkrelidze once again addressed the citizens with several recommendations:

“Our main recommendation has been always to abstain from travel, especially to the countries categorized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as high-risk territories (China, South Korea, Iran and Italy). Today, I would also like to ask the citizens that since there is a serious risk of virus prevalence in Europe, if there is no necessity, abstain from any kind of travel at all”, – Amiran Gamkrelidze said.
