Ambassador of Italy - We, as the OSCE chair country, are supporting the Geneva process
Italy’s position is to continue Geneva talks, – Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Georgia Antonio Enrico Bartoli made the regarding statement during the meeting with Gigi Tsereteli, the representatives of the European Georgia party. The fact of death of Archil Tatunashvili and the situation in Georgia’s occupied regions were discussed during the meeting.
“We are concerned over the fact that occurred in South Ossetia. We hope that through the recent mechanisms the dialogue will be restored and the decision will be made. Unfortunately, no decision has been found regarding the deceased citizen of Georgia. We, as the OSCE chair country, are supporting the Geneva process and we do not want this bad incident to have a negative impact on this process. This process must continue, ” – the Italian Ambassador said.
