Agriculture Minister hosts President Ilham Aliyev at Georgian pavilion during CASPIAN AGRO 2025 exhibition
The CASPIAN AGRO 2025 international agricultural exhibition opened in Baku, Azerbaijan’s capital, drawing considerable international attention to the Georgian national pavilion. The pavilion became a highlight of the event when Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev paid a visit.
Georgia’s Minister of Environment and Agriculture, Davit Songulashvili, together with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Zurab Pataradze, welcomed President Aliyev to the Georgian stand.
President Aliyev underscored the importance of the strong bilateral relationship between Georgia and Azerbaijan, emphasising shared strategic objectives. He highlighted that Georgia’s active engagement in CASPIAN AGRO 2025 strengthens diplomatic ties and opens new avenues for trade and economic collaboration, boosting regional prosperity.
Minister Davit Songulashvili expressed his gratitude for President Aliyev’s visit, affirming Georgia’s commitment to high-quality production and emphasising that Georgian manufacturers form a solid foundation for expanding trade relations.
“Our participation in CASPIAN AGRO exemplifies regional cooperation and our dedication to nurturing robust bilateral relations. Georgia must be represented with dignity at international platforms of this magnitude. Our goal is to access new markets for Georgian products of exceptional quality. Such events allow us to showcase our country’s potential to a global audience and significantly increase export opportunities, which ultimately fortify our national economy,” stated Minister Songulashvili.
The Georgian pavilion showcases a diverse range of products from companies benefiting from various governmental support programs, including Georgian wine, canned foods, natural juices, confectionery, dried fruits, and organic juices.
CASPIAN AGRO, which draws participation from around 25 countries annually and attracts over 15,000 visitors, is a significant event in the region’s agricultural calendar. The exhibition, which opened on May 13, will run through May 16.
