Agriculture Minister engages with Chinese business delegation to boost Georgian wine exports
Georgia’s Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Davit Songhulashvili, held a productive meeting with a Chinese business delegation, which included representatives from Liquan Wine, a prominent wine distribution company. The gathering was led by Georgian entrepreneur Sandro Beridze, based in China.
The Minister praised the delegation’s interest in Georgian wine and highlighted ongoing government initiatives aimed at promoting viticulture and expanding export opportunities.
“Supporting and developing the wine sector remains a top priority for the Georgian government. Wine is an integral part of our national identity, making your interest in Georgian wine especially meaningful to us. We are fully committed to providing support,” stated Davit Songhulashvili.
Sandro Beridze emphasised that Georgian wine enjoys great popularity in China and expressed Liquan Wine’s keen interest in establishing Georgian wine as a flagship product within their portfolio.
Liquan Wine is a reputable enterprise, employing over 600 staff, including 128 certified tasting experts, and selling more than 12 million bottles annually.
Deputy Minister Lasha Dolidze and Levan Mukhuzla, Chairman of the National Wine Agency, also participated in the discussions.
