Sulkhan Tamazashvili, Chairman of the Adjara Government, addressed regional news before discussing the agenda items. He announced that, based on the decision of the Adjara government, families affected by recent natural disasters and fires will receive financial assistance from the reserve fund.

“We decided to allocate over GEL 2,500,000 from the reserve fund of the Adjara budget for families, which were affected by natural disaster and fire: 205 families from Kobuleti, Khelvachauri, Keda, Shuakhevi, and Khulo municipalities will receive the aid.

In total, this year, up to GEL 7.5 million was allocated to assist our population, families affected by natural disasters. About 700 families will receive material compensation, which will actually improve the social situation in the region and the living conditions of these people,” Tamazashvili said.
