Adjara Government Chair engages with Grant Program winner students

Chair of Adjara government Sulkhan Tamazashvili met Grant Program winner students and wished them success.

In addressing the students, Sulkhan Tamazashvili remarked that the Adjara government prioritized quality education opportunities for youngsters.

“I am convinced that the youth will use the gained knowledge and experience for the benefit of the region and the country. The Adjara government will continue to support successful students through various programs and financially aid the higher education institutions in the region to improve their infrastructure and material-technical base,” he said.

Sulkhan Tamazashvili familiarized the students with the new initiative, which envisages setting a GEL 1,000 scholarship per semester for students with the best academic performance. The Adjara Education and Sports Ministry will begin issuing the scholarships from the new academic year.

Chair of Adjara Supreme Council Davit Gabaidze and Education and Sports Minister Maia Khajishvili also addressed the students.

The program is implemented by the Adjara Education and Sports Ministry in support of successful students, aiding them in covering tuition fees abroad. Over 100 students received financing within the Grants Program this year.
