According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, cases of flu are less compared to previous year, two death cases reported

Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of the National Center of Diseases Control, says that at this stage two types of flu viruses A and B are mainly circulated in Georgia, although more cases of type B virus are reported, which are relatively mild than those of type A (H1N1, H3N5).

“According to current data, the cases of flu in hospitals are less compared to the previous year.

At this stage, unfortunately, 2 cases of death caused by H1N1 virus have been confirmed laboratory” – Amiran Gamkrelidze said.

Amiran Gamkrelidze gives five measures recommendations: to get vaccinated, to wash hands regularly, not to avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
