The 7th Penitentiary Facility was officially closed today.
Minister Kakha Kakhishvili, NGOs and media representatives attended the closure of a special risk penitentiary institution.
In addition, on June 25, 2018 a high-risk institution was opened for 29 convicts and corresponds to European standards.
According to the Ministry of Corrections and Legal Assistance, a new penitentiary institution has special space for long-term visits which are equipped with furniture, equipment, cooling and heating system. There is a room for meeting a lawyer. The living room is equipped with kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.
