For the purpose of road safety, 6 motor speed control sections will be functioning at 3 locations in Tbilisi, – Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

1. Kakheti highway, from “East Point” to M. Grigorashvili street, (speed limit: 80 km / h);
2. From M. Grigorashvili street to “East Point” (speed limit: 80 km / h);
3. From “European Street” to Tbilisi International Airport (speed limit: 60 km / h);
4. From Tbilisi International Airport to “European Street” (speed limit: 60 km / h);
5. From N. Khudadovi N-99 to the end of N.Khudadovi street (speed limit: 40 km / h);
6. From the beginning of N. Khudadovi street to . Khudadovi N-99 (speed limit: 40 km / h);

According to the Internal Affairs Minister, a total of 271 km motorway is controlled through the speed section control system throughout Georgia. There are 18 speed controller sections in the capital.
